MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 11, 2026 <br />RESOL UTIONNO. 2026-2-20 — A UTHORIZING STAFF TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR <br />PROPOSAL FOR CLASSIFICATIONAND COMPENSATION STUDY SERVICES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Miller. <br />Ayes (3). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS AND MEETING UPDATES <br />Kwapick provided an update on a meeting he and a few other members of the Council attended, hosted <br />by Ramsey County League of Local Government, which included a topic related to the metro -surge <br />and how municipalities have been dealing with ICE in their communities. He recognized that every <br />city is struggling during this time as they try to find the right mechanism to keep their residents safe. <br />He stated that today he hosted a webinar hosted by the League of Minnesota Cities, which was a <br />legislative preview as the session begins next week, and provided a brief update. <br />Miller provided an update on the most recent meetings of the Cable Commission and the League of <br />Minnesota Cities' elected officials training. <br />Mayor Fischer provided updates on the meetings he attended for the Regional Council of Mayors <br />meeting and the Little Canada Fire Relief Association. He asked that something be added to the next <br />Council meeting agenda, noting the comments that have been received by residents in recent weeks. <br />He wanted the Council to consider joining the Cities for Safe and Stable Communities in Minnesota. <br />The Council agreed, and the City Administrator confirmed that it would be added to the next agenda. <br />Mayor Fischer asked residents to support the local businesses during this time. <br />ADJOURN <br />There being no further business, upon motion by Miller, seconded by Kwapick, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 8:30 p.m. <br />7 <br />/ n 7K_ <br />Thomas Fischer, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Acidier, City Clerk <br />5 <br />
