Purpose <br />This preliminary geotechnical evaluation was prepared for Drywall Supply, Inc., to evaluate soil and <br />groundwater conditions and to help you and your design consultants evaluate whether buildings <br />could be constructed on this site, formulate building design concepts and to assess the need for <br />earthwork corrections and foundation alternatives for building support. <br />The proposed she is located along Country Drive (formerly the Knox Lumber site) in Little Canada, <br />Minnesota_ The site is currently occupied by the former Knox building and several empty steel - and <br />wood- framed storage buildings. <br />A.2. Scope ,of Services <br />Our evaluation was performed in general accordance with our Proposal dated January 10, 2001. <br />addressed to Mr. Gary Germundsen of Griffin Companies. Our proposal was ultimately authorized <br />by Mr. Carl Johnson of Drywall Supply. Our work was performed in general accordance with our <br />General Conditions dated February 1, 1996. <br />Our original work scope included: <br />staking boring locations and clearing them of underground utilities, <br />drilling eight penetration test borings to a depth of 15 feet in areas where future buildings <br />would possibly be constructed, <br />Measuring groundwater levels, if present, <br />measuring the borehole surface elevations, <br />returning the samples to our laboratory for visual classification and logging by a <br />geotechnical engineer, <br />analyzing the results of the field data, and <br />preparing this preliminary geotechnical report containing Log of Boring Sheets, a summary <br />of the results, and recommendations for construction and design of foundations. <br />
