REASONS TO BUILD ON THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS OF LOT
1. Proposed house placement is on the most stable, dry earth
available on the respective lot.
2. Excavation and soils replacement is feasible on the western half
of the lot due to the depth swap deposits being closer to the
surface and above ground stable ground water depths.
NOTE: Soils Engineering Report evaluated the soils on the lot
and the soils on the west half are the more stable (less swap
deposit and dryer) and degrade significantly in quality moving to
the east.
3. Following soils replacement, western half of lot is suitable for
house construction.
4. Grading and fill would be limited to the western portion of the lot
and the required natural buffer along the eastern property line
(Watershed District Requirement) can be maintained.
