Fahey
COUNCIL,
Jim l: aValle
Matt Anderson
Rick. Montour
Bill Blesener
ADMINLSTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
Attached is the staff sent to Mr. Cossack in regard to the above referenced issue. Mr. Cossack contacted
me on October 2i" and indicated he will pursue Option 1. He did not feel the other options were viable.
Staff will set up a meeting with him to develop a plan of correction/implementation whereby we agree on
a course of action and achieve the commencement of work yet this fall. If the Council wishes to modify
this approach, please provide appropriate direction at Wednesday's meeting.
It should be noted that Mr. Cossack mentioned another alternative of connecting his garage to his house
instead of the recreation building. However, this will not be viable given the recreation building exceeds
160 square feet in size. A variance would still be necessary to allow it to exist as a freestanding structure.
Therefore, the only option is to connect the recreation building to the house.
We will also address the issue of the fence posts exceeding the height limitation imposed by the zoning
code.
cc: Jim Cossack
Steve Westerhaus, Building Official
Tom Sweeney, City Attorney
Steve Grittman, City Planner
Jessica Jagoe, Code Enforcement
