EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered this 13th day of June, 2012, by and between the <br />City of Little Canada, a Municipal Corporation under the laws of the State of Minnesota, hereinafter <br />referred to as "City ", and Sharon L. Provos, hereinafter referred to as "Provos ". <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, City has offered the position of Finance Director to Provos and she has accepted <br />same; and <br />WHEREAS, Provos is being designated an exempt employee by City; and <br />WHEREAS, Provos agrees to enter this agreement with City as a condition of exempt status <br />and pursuant to the terms and conditions of employment contained herein, <br />IT IS HEREBY AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. POSITION. City agrees to employ Provos as its Finance Director commencing July 23, <br />2012. Provos agrees to serve as the Finance Director for City, will devote her full business <br />time and best efforts to the City, and will engage in no outside business without the prior <br />approval of City. Provos agrees to perform the duties of Finance Director as they have been <br />explained to her and as they may be changed from time to time. Additionally, Provos shall he <br />required to perform such other duties as may be directed from time to time. <br />2. SALARY. City agrees to pay Provos a starting salary of $74,000 per year starting <br />commencing her first day of employment and continuing through December 31, 2012. <br />Subject to satisfactory performance, Provos' salary shall be increased to $76,000 plus any cost <br />of living adjustments approved by the City Council to the Finance Director's salary scale on <br />January 1, 2013. For future years, the Finance Director's salary scale will be adjusted at a <br />time consistent with other employees and in a manner subject to the approval of the City <br />
