MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
SEPTEMBER 11, 2003
AMENDMENTS
TO
SUBDIVISION
ORDINANCE
CODE
ENFORCEMENT
for this site will not cause drainage problems for this property. Therefore,
the City Planner recommended compliance with the recommendations
made by the City Engineer in his report dated September 11, 2003.
Duray agreed, and noted that the Commission discussed this same issue a
couple of years ago in considering the site plan for this property. At that
time, Mr. Evans agreed to install the curbed island, and Duray felt that the
City should hold Mr. Evans to his commitment. Duray felt that nothing
has changed to warrant approval of a revised site plan.
Duray recommended denial of the Amendment to Conditional Use Permit
requested by Mr. Dave Evans for property located at 182 Ryan Drive
based on the recommendation of the City Engineer as outlined in his
report dated September 11, 2003 and his finding that the island will not
make the drainage worse, and the fact that Mr. Evans agreed to install the
island as part of the City's previous approval of the site plan for this
property.
Motion seconded by Roycraft.
Motion carried 7 — 0.
The City Planner submitted to the Commission an updated proposal
for amending the Subdivision Ordinance. The Planner indicated that
the City Attorney and City Administrator reviewed the first draft and
requested that it be amended to include more specific references. The
Planner suggested that there may be some additional modifications to the
proposed amendment prior to its review by the Council.
Knudsen recommended approval of the updated amendment to the
Subdivision Ordinance as submitted by the City Planner subject to review
and any additional modifications by the City Attorney and City
Administrator.
Motion seconded by Weihe.
Motion carried 7 — 0.
The Planning Commission asked that the Code Enforcement Officer
address the former Stenger property on Centerville Road as well as the
number of off - premise real estate signs around the City.
-7-
