SCHIFSKY FOR
2012 STREET PROJECTS;
*APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT FOR INTERIM FINANCE
DIRECTOR SERVICES
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
DIANNA LANE The City Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's memo dated
ISLAND TREE June 6, 2012 relative to the need for tree replacement on the Dianna
REPLACEMENT Lane island at the end cul -de -sac. The Administrator reported that due to
last year's street improvement project, the two pine trees and birch tree
planted on the island did not survive. The Administrator noted that in
1983 the Council authorized the installation of the island and plantings on
Dianna Lane with the stipulation that the cost and maintenance of island
and plantings would be the responsibility of the Dianna Lane property
owners. However, given that the plantings did not survive due to the
street improvement, the Administrator felt it reasonable to replant the
island. The proposal is for the planting of one Colorado Blue Spruce tree
and replacement of the wood mulch with rock. The project would be
handled by the City's Public Works Department.
Blesener asked if the island would be lowered. The Public Works
Superintendent replied that the island area would be Lowered around the
curb so that rock does not spill into the street. Otherwise, the elevation
would remain the same.
Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -6 -102 — AUTHORIZING THE
REPLANTING OF THE DIANNA LANE ISLAND BY THE CITY'S
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AS OUTLINED IN THE CITY
ENGINEER'S REPORT DATED JUNE 6, 2012
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0).
