MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 13, 2012 <br />FINANCE <br />DIRECTOR <br />POSITION <br />IUPAT <br />DEVELOPMENT <br />AGREEMENT <br />RELEASE <br />The City Administrator recommended the hiring of Sharon Provos as <br />Finance Director for the City. He reported that she is currently the Clerk/ <br />Treasurer of the City of Troy, WI, has worked as a finance director and is <br />a CPA. The Administrator reported that Provos comes highly <br />recommended. <br />The Administrator reviewed the hiring process, and reported that three <br />finalists were brought in for second interviews. All three finalists were <br />highly qualified, and the decision was a difficult one. The Administrator <br />felt that Provos would be the best fit for the City. <br />The Administrator presented the Council with an Employment Agreement <br />between the City and Provos. He noted that the City Attorney has <br />reviewed the agreement and made some minor changes. He also noted <br />that the Agreement has been used by the City for other positions, and <br />pointed out that the benefits being provided are standard for a position of <br />this type. Provos would begin her employment with the City on Monday, <br />July 23rd. <br />Mr. 13lesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -6 -104 — APPROVING THE EMPLOYMENT <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND SHARON PROVOS FOR <br />FINANCE DIRECTOR POSITION AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE <br />AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator noted that the Council recently approved the <br />Payment In Lieu Of Taxes (PILOT) Agreement with the International <br />Union of Painters and Allied Trades Council 82 relative to their seeking <br />tax exempt status on the training portion of their building. As part of this <br />process, District Council 82 paid off the balance of their TIF Note. They <br />are now requesting the Release of Development Agreement to complete <br />the process. The City Administrator recommended approval of the release <br />subject to receipt of job report information. <br />Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />7 <br />
