Hanson <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />DATE: August 22, 2003 <br />RE: North Star Estates Development Agreement <br />Attached is the Development Agreement and Shelter Lease we need with North Star Estates to facilitate the <br />construction of the new storm shelter pursuant to our grant with Ramsey County. The City Attorney has reviewed <br />these drafts and has asked that modifications be made to incorporate North Star's on -going obligation for the <br />maintenance of the shelter once the lease is executed. He has also asked that this agreement be in recorded <br />against the property. Lastly, we are awaiting a draft of the land lease that will give us an interest in the land to <br />enable our construction and ownership of the shelter. <br />I expect we will have these modifications completed prior to Wednesday's meeting.
