The development of Canada Woods West (Maple Leaf Court) had a minor impact on the peak
discharge of the drainage system. However, the drainage calculations and design originally
completed were done to the current engineering standards of the time and were reviewed and
approved by the Ramsey Washington Watershed.
As stated previously, the City is currently exploring options with Ramsey County and the
Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn /DOT) to accommodate all of the stormwater that
currently flows south into the Maple Leaf Court drainage swale from County Road D and the
area north of County Road D into the storm sewer system for the Interstate 35E/694 (Unweave
the Weave) project. If allowed, this would redirect a majority of the stormwater that currently
drains to the swale at Maple Leaf Court and eventually into the Sculley property. At this time
Mn /DOT has not indicated if all of the drainage will be allowed in the new system. We will keep
the City informed as to the progress of this request.
C: \WINDOWS \Temporary Internet Files \OLKF1A3 \Sculley Drainage Findings.doc
6-
