Hanson <br />The Legislature recently adopted legislation limiting the amount that cities can charge for the <br />licensing of fireworks sales. That limitation is a $100 annual license fee for sales from permanent <br />structures and a $350 annual license fee for sales from temporary structures. This legislation also <br />restricts cities from requiring fireworks sellers to purchase additional liability coverage. <br />As a result of the Legislature actions, staff is recommending that the City's fireworks license fee be <br />modified as stated above and that the City's Code be amended to delete the requirement of additional <br />liability insurance. <br />1 <br />
