Mayor & City Council <br />April 21, 2000 <br />Page 2 <br />• Dr. Cooper indicated that they normally take a population count in the latter part of <br />May or early June when the geese have molted and become easier to count. (He will <br />do the count in Little Canada irregardless of our participation because we are part of a <br />study area.) <br />• Dr. Cooper indicated the cities of Shoreview, Roseville, Oakdale, North St. Paul, and <br />Maplewood are all participating in goose control programs. He also indicated <br />Ramsey County Parks and St. Paul Board of Water Commissioners on Vadnais Lake <br />and Sucker Lake are also participating. <br />Based on this information, it is my recommendation that we postpone a decision on a contract at <br />this time. Dr. Cooper will inventory Little Canada in the latter part of May and early June. With <br />that information, we can make a determination if continued participation is necessary.
