MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MAY 9, 2000
The Council also discussed banner arms on the street lights, and it was
suggested that flag holders be installed on the lights. Council also felt that
banner holders may be a good option to have on the street lights at the
intersection points along Little Canada Road.
Council requested that additional information/examples of the various
amenities discussed be presented to them for review at their next meeting.
PUD The City Administrator reviewed the City Planner's recommendation for
CLARIFICATION consideration of PUD District amendments at the Rice Street/Little
Canada Road area relating to multiple family housing. It was noted the
Planning Commission will discuss this issue at their May 11`h meeting,
and a public hearing will be held by the Council on May 23r1
.
GOOSE Scalze reported that at today's meeting of the Multi- Housing Coalition
CONTROL the issue of goose control was discussed, with representatives of the
various multi - family housing units in the City indicating that there is a
problem with geese in the City. Scalze suggested that if the City proceeds
with the contract with the U of M for goose control, that these multi-
family housing complexes participate in the cost. It was noted that the
City should also have some assurance from those that agree to participate,
that they will, in fact, pay their share when necessary.
The City Administrator indicated that he will contact the multi- family
housing complexes about their participation.
ADJOURN Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2000 -5 -125 — ADJOURNING
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (4) Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen, Morelan.
Nays (0).
