MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JUNE 12, 2003 <br />DEVELOPMENT <br />STAGE AND <br />FINAL STAGE <br />PUP - <br />DISTRIC I <br />COUNCIL 82 <br />TEXT <br />AMENDM ENT- <br />MASSAGE <br />THERAPY - <br />B-3 DISTRICT <br />ADJOURN <br />Mr. Frank Dunbar appeared before the Commission and presented the <br />development plans for the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades <br />District Council 82. Dunbar noted that Council 82 is proposing to <br />construct a 57,000 square foot office and training facility on a portion of <br />the Drywall Supply site. This building would serve as office and meeting <br />space for Council 82 as well as a training facility for their apprentice <br />program. Dunbar reviewed both exterior and interior plans for the <br />building. He noted that the proposed parking exceeds the City's parking <br />requirements. Dunbar indicated that he would work with the City <br />Engineer on the details of the utility plan for the site, and with the City <br />Planner on the landscape plan. Dunbar indicated that they are in <br />agreement with the recommendations of both the City Planner and the <br />City Engineer. <br />Roycraft recommended approval of the Development Stage and Final <br />Stage PUD for International Union and Painters & Allied Trades District <br />Council 82 subject to compliance with the recommendations of the City <br />Planner and the City Engineer. <br />Motion seconded by Weihe. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0, <br />The City Planner reviewed a text amendment for the General Business <br />(13-3) zoning district that would allow massage therapy as a principal <br />use in the district by conditional use permit. The Planner noted that this <br />use would also roll into the 13-4 Zoning District. <br />Duray recommended approval of the Text Amendment for the General <br />Business Zoning District as submitted by the City Planner. <br />Motion seconded by Wojcik. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />Wojcik recommended that the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Keis. <br />Motion carried 7 -. 0. <br />- 13 - <br />
