PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE FIRE DEPARTMENTS DIRECTLY AS A THERE IS A SPECIFIC INTAKE PROCEDURE FOR FIRE INSPECTIONS. The Fire Inspector in your area will send you a request for your money order once they have received the fire inspection referral (if you live in Mounds View, see note below for your procedure). Once the appropriate agency has received your money order, the fire inspector will contact you to schedule the inspection — if you live in an area where the above procedure is different, the Intake Licensing Social Worker will contact you with instructions. After your initial inspection, if your home is not in compliance with the fire code and licensing regulations, you will be given a list of necessary corrections. It is your responsibility to notify the fire inspector once you have completed all corrections. The fire inspector may need to conduct a re- inspection of your home prior to sending final approval to the Intake Worker.
