Lit
of Little Cand9,d
COMMUNITY PRIDE
1953 - 2003
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
(651) 7664029 / FAX: (651) 766 -4048
www.ci.little-canacla.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Greg Schroeder, Public Works Director
DATE: April 17, 2003
RE: Street Numbers for City Center
MAYOR
Michael 1. Fahey
COUNCIL
Jim LaValle
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
Bill Blesener
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. Hanson
It has been brought to our attention that the Little Canada City Center does not have street
number on the building to identify it.
City Ordinance 504 states that "...all owners of property within the City are required to place the
street address number of their property upon such building on the side thereof facing the street
upon which said building fronts... ". Based on this we need to place the building numbers for the
City Center on the building surface facing Little Canada Road.
To ensure visibility staff is proposing that we place 6" high numbers /letters on the side of the
building above the wood wall as shown on the attached photo.
Staff needs City Council confirmation and /or direction as to the numbering /wording and
location.
1
