BMP Name: City Storm Water Education Program <br />Unique ID: 1 -01 -R <br />MCM: #1 — Public Education and Outreach <br />COPPoUPYI1V PRIDE <br />1953 - 2003 <br />Description: <br />The City of Little Canada's storm water education program consists of the activities listed in BMPs <br />1 -02 -R to 1 -05, 2 -01 -R, 3 -01 -R, 4 -01 -R, 5 -01 -R, and 6 -01 -R as described in the BMP summary <br />sheets that follow. <br />Justification: <br />Having an education and outreach program for each of the six minimum control measures is required <br />in permit provision Part V.G.1. The program will also improve awareness and understanding of <br />sto ni water issues. <br />Responsible Staff /Position: <br />Public Works Director 651.766.4049 <br />Measurable Goals: <br />1. Track and record public education and outreach activities related to each BMP. <br />2. City Council approves and authorizes implementation of Education Program <br />Implementation Schedule: <br />1. Ongoing. <br />Education Program/Public Outreach: <br />1. Audience or audiences: All City residents, business owners, City Council and committees, <br />developers, contractors, watershed organizations and others. <br />2. Increased awareness: BMPs have been selected to increase awareness by making positive <br />impressions on individuals that will help to change attitudes and behaviors towards storm water <br />issues. The desired end result is improvements in the water quality of City lakes and water <br />resources. <br />Annual Reporting Items: <br />1.
