At this <br />time, Little Canada is the only Ramsey County contract city that requires residents to notify the Fire <br />Dispatcher prior to conducting a recreational fire burn. It is my recommendation that we eliminate <br />that portion of the existing ordinance as well as make the other changes noted in the draft ordinance <br />attached. These changes will make for a more enforceable ordinance without compromising safety. <br />I also suggest we assign a separate ordinance number to this specific section of the Municipal Code. <br />As the Recreation Fire Ordinance is included as part of the State Fire Code, it is difficult to locate <br />under that title. <br />1 <br />
