7 | P a g e <br />Understanding Little Canada’s Local Economy <br />Section One – Little Canada in the Regional Economy <br />This section provides an overview of Little Canada’s role within the regional economy. It <br />examines employment located in the city, residents participating in the labor market, industry <br />composition, and commuting patterns. Together, these indicators clarify the city’s economic <br />scale, growth trajectory, and structural constraints, providing context for subsequent discussion <br />of land use and fiscal productivity. <br /> <br />Employment Located in Little Canada <br />A total of 6,995 individuals work in Little Canada for their primary job. This exceeds <br />employment levels in several similarly sized communities, including North St. Paul and St. <br />Anthony.
