MINUTES CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 21, 2000 METER READING CONTRACT POSTING OF LITTLE CANADA ROAD pointed out that there are Sheriff's calls that are directly the result of these gambling operations, and suggested that a license fee may be appropriate to offset the cost of these calls. It was noted that the City does charge a 10% fee to charitable gambling operations which is based on 10% of their net profits. The City Administrator indicated that it may be appropriate, however, to look at a license fee for the bingo hall itself. Mr. LaVaile introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2000 -11 -279 — APPROVING THE RENWAL OF BINGO HALL LICENSE FOR THE LITTLE CANADA BINGO HALL FOR THE LICENSE PERIOD FEBRUARY 1, 2001 THROUGH JANUARY 31, 2002 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (5) LaVaile, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey, Morelan. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The Council reviewed the water meter reading contract recommendation made by the Public Works Director. The City Administrator pointed out that the cost of the contract is similar to the fee being charged by Howard R. Green Company for this same service. Mr. LaVaile introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2000 -11 -280 — APROVING THE WATER METER READING CONTRACT WITH SL -servo AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (5) LaVaile, Pedersen, Morelan, Scalze, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The City Administrator reviewed a diagram prepared by Ramsey County showing how they proposed to post Little Canada Road as no parking adjacent to St. John's Church.
