• Metropolitan Council's Transportation Policy Plan (TPP) <br />• The Regional Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) <br />• Metro Transit's Sectors I & II Study <br />• Metro Transit's 1996 Transit Redesign Comprehensive Analysis <br />• Mn /DOT Metro Divison's Transportation System Plan (TSP) <br />• Mn /DOT Metro Divison's Busway Study <br />• Comprehensive Plans from subarea counties, cities, and townships <br />• Capital Improvement Programs from subarea counties, cities, and townships <br />• I -35W Corridor Coalition Subregional Growth Study <br />Scope of Services <br />Task I: Study Area Inventory <br />The Consultant will develop an inventory of the transportation (transit & roadways), demographics, <br />and land use existing and planned for the study area. This inventory will be compiled as a series of <br />GIS maps and databases. In developing this inventory the Consultant will use existing information to <br />the greatest extent possible. <br />Transportation Service and Infrastructure <br />The Consultant will work with the Metropolitan Council, Mn /DOT, Metro Transit, and the study <br />area counties, cities, and towns to obtain existing information regarding roadways (e.g., mileage, <br />volumes, service levels, reconstruction /construction plans, etc.); transit service (e.g., service <br />levels, service areas, operating /maintenance costs, redesign plans, etc.), and transit <br />infrastructure (e.g., park /ride lots, metered bypasses, shoulder lane use, construction plans, <br />etc.). <br />Demographics <br />The Consultant will work with the Metropolitan Council, the State Demographers Office, the I- <br />35W Corridor Coalition, and the study area counties, cities, and townships to obtain existing <br />information regarding population, households, employment, zero car households, etc... within the <br />study area. <br />Land Use <br />The Consultant will work with the Metropolitan Council and the study area counties, cities, and <br />townships to obtain comprehensive plans, land use maps, and zoning maps for the study area. <br />Deliverable: A GIS database and series of maps documenting the transportation, demographics, <br />and and uses within the study area. <br />Task II: Market Assessment <br />The Consultant will perform a market assessment of the past (1990) and forecasted future (2010 & <br />2020) travel patterns, demographics, and development within the study area.
