December 3, 2000
City of Little Canada
Attn: Mike Fahey
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600
RE: Relocation of Frattalone Excavating
Dear Mike,
I felt the need to write a letter to address the city council regarding Frank
Frattalone's proposal to relocate Frattalone Excavating.
Although some members support the relocation, the concept review for the
PUD was tabled until January and I just can't understand why. Why would
the council let a well established, nationally known, business like Frattalone
Excavating, even think of leaving the city? Our community is so proud of its
history and yet we are willing to let a business that was established here over
30 years ago leave because of a storage issue. That does not make sense to
me. It's not like he is asking to relocate on the corner of Rice St. and Little
Canada Rd., nor is he asking to put a junk yard in. His site is pretty hidden
back there and he takes pride in how nice he keeps his fleet. The council
must not realize how many calls we get from citizens commenting on how
clean and well kept our trucks and equipment are.
I don't know, I guess I'm just frustrated with the whole issue. I mean, Frank,
his family and the business give so much to the community. Whenever there
is someone in need, be it an organization, a ball team or a citizen, he always
willing to be of support.
Thanks for your time and please let it be known that I am writing this letter
not only as an employee of Frattalone Excavating but as a concerned resident.
Sincerely,
Shelly Boss, your niece -in -law (thought that would put a smile on your face!)
Page 14
