Dear City Council Members:
I am writing you in response to an article I read in the paper regarding the plans of Frattalone
Excavating to expand and move to a new location in the City of Little Canada.
It is my hope that you will allow Mr. Frattalone to move forward with his expansion plans and
relocation to the Country Drive property. The 11 acre property was acquired for the purpose of
that expansion. I don't understand how council members think they will get a higher tax benefit
than what is being proposed at present.
The location is zoned for office - warehouse This is a good site for Frattalone Excavating. The
current outside storage of the company is like a display. The area is well lit, neat, orderly, very
well maintained.
Frattalone Excavating is a company that has been in the City of Little Canada for many years and
has benefited the community in many ways. The company has provided jobs and a tax base. It
has donated time and money to many organizations, schools, Charities Plus, Rec. assoc. etc. It
would be a shame to lose a company of good standing and history with Little Canada to another
city.
It is my understanding that if the plans are not approved, Mr. Frattalone, will in all likelihood have
to move the company to his Maplewood property. I don't believe that would be in the best
interest of this community. Please serve this community and come to some sort of agreement
that allows Mr. Frattalone to proceed with his hopes and plans of expansion.
Sincerely,
I2 (47A -c.1.7,
Denise Kerr
Page 15
