MAYOR
Michael 1. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scatze
Jim LaVaile
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600 ADMINISTRATOR
(651) 766 -4029 / FAX: (651) 766 -4048 Joel R. Hanson
Email: cityhall @cilittle- canada.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel R. Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: January 19, 2001
RE: Workshop with Sheriffs Department
Pursuant to our newly revised contract with Ramsey County for police services, the
County and the City may prepare a Plan Of Service to be reviewed annually and agreed
upon by both parties. It is this provision that will serve as the basis of the workshop we
will be having with representatives of the Sheriff's Department.
The workshop can be held on February 14th, 28th, or March 14th. George Altendorfer,
the new Undersheriff in charge of the Patrol Division, prefers that the meeting be held
sooner rather than later. I would recommend a 6 p.m. starting time.
Also attached is the new organizational chart for the Sheriff's Department and for the
Patrol Division to help explain some of the recent personnel changes.
The Council needs to set a date for this workshop. I would further recommend we
develop a listing of topics we wish to focus on at the workshop.
cc: George Altendorfer
Page 77
