CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN INTERIM ORDINANCE EXTENDING A MORATORIUM <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br />An Interim Ordinance establishing a moratorium relating to certain property within the <br />City of Little Canada. <br />(A) Purpose and Intent. The City of Little Canada has adopted a Comprehensive Plan <br />and Official Controls, pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 462.351 and following, and the Little Canada <br />City Council has authorized staff to conduct a study and to analyze existing uses, proposed uses, <br />and existing zoning of the property described below within the City of Little Canada, for the <br />purpose of considering amendments to the Comprehensive Plan or Official Controls relating to <br />the property described below. <br />(B) Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 462.355, subd. 4, this interim ordinance, for the purpose <br />of protecting the planning process and the health, safety, and welfare of Little Canada citizens, <br />hereby prohibits the development, subdivision, or the issuance of permits, including, but not <br />limited to, building permits, filling permits, and grading permits, relative to all property located <br />within the City of Little Canada within the following zoning districts: <br />13 -W, Business - Warehousing District; <br />13-I, Business - Industrial District; <br />I -1, Light Industrial District; <br />I -2, General Industrial District; and <br />I -P, Industrial Park District <br />(C) This Interim Ordinance extends the moratorium created by Little Canada <br />Ordinance No. 523, which will expire on January 9, 2002. The moratorium, as extended, shall <br />expire on April 10, 2002, if not extended or repealed prior to that time. <br />PASSED by the City Council of Little Canada this day of , 2001. <br />Michael I Fahey, Mayor <br />
