LITTLE CANADA REFUSE & RECYCLING SERVICE CONTRACT <br />THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into this _ day of , 2001, by <br />and between the CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, a municipal corporation in the County of Ramsey, <br />herein referred to as "City," and Browning Ferris Industries, Inc. (BFI), a Minnesota corporation, <br />Gene's Disposal, Inc., a Minnesota corporation, Waste Management, Inc., a Minnesota corporation, <br />and Bill Horrigan dba Horrigan Hauling, herein referred to collectively as "Contractor." <br />RECITALS: <br />WHEREAS, the City requires the collection and disposal of garbage and rubbish, yard waste, <br />and recyclables from residences in the City of Little Canada; <br />Whereas, the Contractor is a group an organization of licensed haulers in the City of Little <br />Canada engaged in the business of collection and disposing of garbage and rubbish, yard waste, and <br />recyclables; and <br />Whereas, the City desires to hire the services of the Contractor and the Contractor desires to <br />provide services to the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed by and between the parties: <br />1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials, <br />and equipment necessary to make a complete collection of garbage, and refuse, yard waste <br />and recyclables from all residences in the City of Little Canada at least once in each calendar <br />week during the term of this Contract. Such collections shall include all residential <br />properties having two (2) or less dwelling units in a single building by use of individual <br />containers. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, and facilities necessary <br />to fulfill the terms and conditions of this Contract. The Contractor shall provide said <br />services in compliance with all applicable laws and shall charge for said services on a <br />volume -based schedule. and convey the recyclables to a market which assures these <br />materials will not be landfilled, and yard waste to a Ramsey County site or Little Canada site <br />as decided by the City. <br />II.
