and each unit of a duplex. A residential dwelling unit shall not include: mobile <br />homes, tri- plexes, four - plexes, town homes, condominiums, or apartment buildings. <br />K. Rubbish. Rubbish is solid waste, including ashes, consisting of both combustible and <br />noncombustible wastes, such as wood, bedding, crockery, and other non - reuseable <br />waste. Rubbish also includes non - recyclable types of glass, paper, cardboard, and <br />metal cans. <br />L. Toxic and Hazardous Wastes. Toxic and hazardous wastes are waste materials including, <br />but not limited to, poisons, pesticides, herbicides, acids, caustics, pathological wastes, <br />radioactive materials, flammable or explosive materials, and similar harmful <br />chemicals and wastes which require special handling and must be disposed of in a <br />manner to conserve the environment and protect public health and safety. <br />M. White Goods. Household appliances including items such as refrigerators, stoves, <br />dishwashers washers and dryers, water heaters, microwave ovens, furnaces, air <br />conditioners and dehumidifiers. <br />N. Yard Waste. All compostible organic plant material hat consists of grass clippings, <br />leaves, and soft garden material, including brush and limbs under four inches in <br />diameter and four feet in length provided they are bundled with twine or other <br />organic material. <br />IV. SCOPE OF CONTRACT. <br />A. Collection Service Provided by Contractor. <br />1. Garbage and Refuse Collection Ser -Aee: <br />a. Description. Refuse collection service shall include the collection of <br />all garbage and refuse from residential dwelling units in the City of <br />Little Canada. Yard waste and recyclables shall be collected <br />separately. Included in the cost of this service is the collection of one <br />Christmas tree annually from every residential dwelling unit. Cost for <br />this service is described in Attachment "A." <br />b. Exclusions. Refuse collection service shall not include the collection of: <br />(1)Toxic and hazardous waste including items such as batteries, tires, <br />construction material, motor oils, and paint in liquid foam. <br />(2)White goods. <br />-3- <br />Page 144 <br />
