The subject site <br />lies within the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area and thus is subject to the design <br />directives of the "Rice Street/Little Canada Road Area Development Guide. <br />Among other things, the Development Guide was created to serve as a tool for <br />evaluating development proposals in the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area. <br />Therefore, it is considered appropriate to compare the development proposal to the <br />applicable guidelines at an initial point in the development process. <br />The Development Guide states that the Rice Street/Little Canada Road area is intended <br />to be the primary commercial center of Little Canada.
