We <br />anticipate that our construction will commence in the fall and extend through the winter <br />of 2002 with some work possible in the spring. <br />In order to place the desired time limitations on the bridge construction portion of the <br />work, it is necessary to allow the contractor to work seven days a week. Accordingly we <br />request the city allow this work on Sundays. The proposed time period is to be during the <br />time the canal is frozen over, is intended for the closure of Arcade Street for bridge work, <br />and is to take place during the winter when the canal is not normally used for boat traffic. <br />This provision will be set forth in the 1806 -7 of the specifications. <br />This letter is to serve as notification of this contract provision; please feel free contact me <br />or Jim Tolaas if the city needs further information. <br />Larry K.
