MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />SEPTEMBER 13, 2001 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 13'x' day of <br />September, 2001 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and <br />the following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll <br />call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Dennis Carson <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Thomas Roycraft <br />Mr. Tom Wojcik <br />ABSENT: Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, Deputy Clerk <br />MINUTES The minutes of the August 16, 20N Planning Commission meeting were <br />approved as submitted. <br />ATTENDANCE Knudsen indicated that he felt it appropriate that there be a waiver of the <br />POLICY attendance policy for the month of August given that the regular meeting <br />date was changed. <br />MOMENT OF The Planning Commission observed a moment of silence in honor of those <br />SILENCE killed in the recent attacks on the United States. <br />CUP — <br />2750 -2756 <br />LAKESHORE <br />AVENUE <br />Jeff Meyer, J & R Investments, owner of the shopping center at 2750 -2756 <br />Lakeshore Avenue, appeared before the Commission requesting approval <br />of a Conditional Use Permit to allow placement of signage on a multi - <br />tenant building. Meyer reported that the shopping center currently has two <br />tenants (Rocco's Pizza and Anderson Cleaners) and is adding two more (a <br />thrift store and beauty salon). Additional signage is needed for the thrift <br />store and beauty salon. <br />Knudsen pointed out that Rocco's Pizza currently has two signs on the <br />side of the building. He asked if one would be eliminated. Meyer replied <br />Page 11 <br />
