To Little Canada City Council Members:
3`,
I am proposing to erect a 22 x )4 garage on my property. The garage will be built
on the back half of our property. I am seeking a conditional use permit for this
construction project, as the total square feet will be over the allowed amount. This
building will not be used for any business purposes. It will be used strictly for personal
use. I have three older cars that I work on for my hobby. These cars are not purchased for
resale. I have owned them for over 10 years. My goal would be to have these cars placed
indoors and have a place to work them in my leisure time. I feel that this is a reasonable
request. The cars would be stored indoors and out of view for the neighbors.
The structure would be built in the same aspect as the house with the same siding
etc. This building would not detract from the neighborhood, as there are several homes
with garages set back from the house. Most of these homes have attached garages with a
detached garage in the rear of the property.
We would have access to the back garage either through a new garage door put
into our existing garage, or driveable access on the side of our current garage /house. This
drive access would not be used on a daily basis. The cars I have are not running at this
time and when finished, they will not be taken out daily.
It is my hope that you will grant a conditional use permit. Our property is large
enough to build this size garage on. Complete details of the structure and property
description as well as any other pertinent information are attached to this letter.
Sincerely,
Brett R.
