JUL -09 -2001 MOM 11:54 AM <br />Gerber, Paul <br />To: jool hanson <br />Subject: conditional use permit for brett r pirkola <br />FAX NO. 952 939 7117 P, 01 <br />Joe!; your letter notifying us of this special hearing was <br />recieved sat 7 -07. 1 am going to be out of town for work <br />on july 12, so wanted to take this opportunity to voice my <br />opinion and concern. 1 am not in favor of a building of <br />such a large size being built on a residential property. <br />Unless the applicant intends to use this building for some <br />sort of business purposes, it is far more garage than is <br />necessary, There is a large double garage attached to the <br />house cis it is now. 1 would be fearful that the same sort <br />of conditions would develop as we have just to the north <br />of me. that particular issue was brought to the attention <br />of the former inspector, elizabeth, and to your attention <br />after she left. there seemed to be no intervention from <br />the city, nor a resolution. 1 would hate to see the pirkola <br />property become the same eyesore that exists at 2959!!! <br />1 am hoping that both the planning commisssion and the <br />city council lok at this request very seriously as for as <br />the impact on the neighborhood as well as carefully study <br />the intended use of the building. 1 and several of the <br />adjoining neighbors would be very disappointed to see a <br />building of this magnitude allowed in r -1 areas. Please <br />respectfully accept my written response under the <br />circumstances 1 have stated above.
