Hanson <br />WHEREAS, The MacGillivray Pipe Band of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, founded in 1917, <br />has performed for 25 consecutive years at the Little Canada Canadian Days Celebration; and <br />WHEREAS, The MacGillivray Pipe Band has been the heart and soul of the Canadian Days <br />Celebration, performing at numerous Canadian Days' events and providing unequaled <br />entertainment for the residents of'the City ofLittle Canada; and <br />WHEREAS, The MacGillivray Pipe Band has demonstrated exemplary dedication to our sister <br />city relationship with Thunder Bay, performing at Canadian Days events in extreme weather <br />conditions and with some band members having performed at each of the 25 years of <br />celebrations; and <br />WHEREAS, On behalf of the citizens of Little Canada, the Mayor and City Council wish to <br />express their profound gratitude to the MacGillivray Pipe Band and recognize them for their <br />repeated contribution to the quality of life in our city. <br />NOW, TFIEREF'OR.E, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the City ofLittle <br />Canada hereby declare Saturday, August 4, 2001 as MacGillivray Pipe Band Day in the City of <br />Little Canada in recognition of their 25 -year relationship with and contributions to our <br />community. <br />Adopted this 4" day of August, 2001. <br />Attest: <br />Joel R.
