Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: June 22, 2001
RE: Cooperative Agreement with the City of Shoreview
Attached is the Cooperative Agreement with the City of Shoreview for the Rice Street
planning study. Hoisington Koegler was selected as the contractor to perform the
planning studies. Based on their proposal our costs for this project have dropped from
approximately $5,000 to $2,600. The study is to be completed by October 26, 2001.
As part of this agreement, we need to appoint representatives to the task force. The
agreement suggested that we appoint one Council Member, two Planning Commission
members, and two citizen representatives (Please note that Shoreview increased their
number of representatives to this program based on their perceived needs.) I would
recommend the appointment of Rick Montour as the Council representative based on his
Planning Commission background. I would also recommend the appointment of John
Keis and Dan Knudsen as the Planning Commission representatives with Dennis Carson
as an alternate. I would further recommend the appointment of Dave Glodowski, owner
of the Hardees Restaurant as one of the citizen representatives. (This business will likely
be impacted by the reconstruction of the Rice Street bridge over 694.) The Council will
need to decide upon another citizen representative.
I would recommend adoption of the agreement as presented.
cc: John Keis
Dan Knudsen
Dave Glodowski
Page 170
