CITY OF SHOREVIEW <br />COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT <br />WITH <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />Rice Street Crossings Planning Study <br />Cities of Little Canada, Shoreview and Vadnais Heights <br />Ramsey County <br />Metro Transit <br />State of Minnesota Department of Transportation <br />Attachments: <br />Exhibit A — Contract, Hoisington Koegler Group, Inc. <br />Exhibit B - Scope of Services <br />Exhibit C — Location Map <br />THIS AGREEMENT, by and between the City of Shoreview, Minnesota, a <br />municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City ", and, City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota, a political subdivision of the State of Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as the <br />"Little Canada "; <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the City and Little Canada desire to plan for the Rice <br />Street/Interstate 694 area (Exhibit C); and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota Department of Transportation is planning <br />improvements to Interstate 694, including lane additions; and <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County is planning improvements to the interchange ramps, <br />bridge and access roads for the Interstate 694 /Rice Street interchange; and <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County is exploring the reuse of the County owned land in <br />the project area; and <br />WHEREAS, Metro Transit has indicated their desire to establish a transit facility <br />in the project area and has received federal funding to do so; and <br />WHEREAS, there is a correlation between the transportation and land use; and <br />WHEREAS, transportation and land use changes in the project area impact the <br />Cities of Little Canada, Vadnais Heights and Shoreview, Ramsey County, Metro Transit <br />and the State of Minnesota Department of Transportation; and <br />Page 171 <br />
