(Janson <br />Attached is a proposed contract for fire protection services for calendar year 2001. The <br />significant changes to this agreement are as follows: <br />♦ Contract payment amount has been adjusted to $187,789 pursuant to our budget <br />discussions. <br />♦ The payment to the Relief Association has been reduced to $15,000 pursuant to our <br />budget discussions. <br />♦ The Fire Department will submit a proposed operating budget for 2002 to us by <br />August 1, 2001. This earlier timefiame will help us in our overall budget preparation <br />process. The Fire Department will be providing us with an updated five -year capital <br />improvement plan by June 30t1' of the current contract year. This earlier date will also <br />help us in our budget preparation process. <br />♦ The new truck recently purchased ( #17) has been added to paragraph 9.
