Revised 12/06/00 <br />preferred location of service pipe and size of service based on building demand. <br />(3) When service connections have been installed, application for water service may be <br />made to the Clerk City either by the owner, agent, tenant or occupant of the premises. <br />(4) The size of water service connections and meters shall be subject to approval of the <br />City Engineer. <br />(5) For all meters up to and including l" size, a meter spacer with tailpiece couplings will <br />be furnished to the contractor or plumber, at the time a connection permit is issued. Meter spacers <br />will be picked up when the City installs meter after completion of water service installation. <br />(6) The plumber shall notify the City within 21 hours after when piping is complete and <br />a minimum of 24 hours prior to when they are ready for meter installation, giving street address and <br />permit number. <br />(7) Water billing shall start at the time of installation of the water meter or, in the event <br />the meter is not installed, seven (7) days after completion of outside piping, and shall be calculated <br />upon the minimum quarterly rate, pro -rated on a monthly basis. <br />1601.210. CONNECTION AND SERVICE CHARGES. <br />(1) A permit must be obtained to connect to the existing water service leads at the curb <br />stop be*, and interior plumbing. The fee for the permit shall be established by City Council <br />resolution Ten Dollars (310.00) for ch application; in the event one applicati n is made for both <br />connections, the total charge shall be only Ten Dollars (310.00). <br />(2) All persons connecting to the City's municipal water system shall pay a water <br />availability charge (WAC) prior to connection in an amount determined by City Council resolution. <br />Additional charges shall be paid at the time of making application for tapping and <br />making c nnections with the water mains where a curb box and service lead is not installed, which <br />charges shall be as f slows: <br />a.
