Hanson <br />Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Greg Schroeder, Public Works Director <br />DATE: October 20, 2000 <br />RE: Final Pay Estimate —1999 Street and Utility Improvement Project <br />I have reviewed the Little Canada 1999 Street and Utility Improvement Project Pay Estimate <br />No. 7, Final Pay Estimate for North Valley, Inc. The original contract price for this project was <br />$779,186.25. The final contract amount is $781,528.60. The overrun on this project is primarily <br />due to the relocation of the fiber optic cable along Viking Drive. The cost of the cable relocation <br />is $42,000, which MN/DOT has agreed to reimburse the city for. When your delete the cost of <br />the fiber optic cablelthe project cost came in below the original amount at $739,528.60. <br />The City Engineer has inspected the work performed by North Valley, Inc. and finds it to be in <br />compliance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. <br />Based on the above, I recommend Council approval of the Pay Estimate No. 7 (Final Pay <br />Estimate) in the amount of $42,782.20. <br />I1:VessicaJ\Agenda \October 20 \Final Pay North Va <br />Page 55 <br />
