The private utility work is proceeding and is anticipated to be completed in the next 2 to 2 1/2
weeks,
Canadian Pacific railroad will be reconstructing the railroad crossing on Little Canada Road starting
Thursday of this week. Due to this work, Little Canada Road will be completely dosed to traffic at the
railroad crossing starting Thursday, October 5, and remain closed thru Monday, October 9. No vehicles
will be able to cross the tracks at this time. The crossing will be open for local traffic Tuesday, October 10.
Tentative Schedule
It is anticipated that concrete curb and gutter will be constructed the middle of next week. The first two lifts
of bituminous pavement will be placed following the curb construction. The first lift of bituminous is
scheduled to be placed the later part of the third week in October.
Please travel at a reduced speed through the work zone and pay close attention to the detour signage as
it will be modified as work progresses to direct traffic to the safest and quickest route within the
construction area.
As with any construction work, the schedule and completion of the project will be somewhat
dependent on the weather. If we have any significant precipitation, the construction site
may need to dry out prior to continuing work. We ask for your patience with weather /
delays throughout this project. / /i //
We urge you to use caution around the work site. Your assistance in reminding area children to stay clear
of construction equipment is helpful in maintaining a safe environment. Your continued patience and
cooperation during this construction is appreciated. Watch for future issues of this newsletter for
updates on the progress of the project.
Page 37
