MAYOR
Michael 1. Fahey
COUNCIL,
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600 ADMINISTRATOR
(651) 484 -2177 / FAX: (651) 484 -4538 Joel R. Hanson
Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Greg Schroeder, Public Works Director
DATE: October 5, 2000
RE: Centerville Road Trail Update
A safety concern with the existing fire hydrant and power poles in the Centerville Road trail was
raised at the last council meeting.
I. indicated that we are working with NSP to relocate the power poles. I further indicated that we
put reflective tape on the fire hydrant and attached a safety must to it to help identify it until we
could relocate it. Upon further investigation with both the fire department and fire marshal, it
has been determined that this fire hydrant is not needed. Therefore, we are going to cap it off
below ground level and pave over it.
H:VessicaJ \Agenda\October 6 \Centerville Trail Hydrant.doc
Page 38
