MAYOR
Michael 1. Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Steve Morelan
Bob Pedersen
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117 -1600 ADMINISTRATOR
(651) 484 -2177 / FAX: (651) 484 -4538 Joel R. Hanson
Email: cityhall @ci.little- canada.mn.us
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Faye and Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel R. Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: August 4, 2000
RE: Metropolitan Council — Transit Hub
Attached is a draft agreement with Metropolitan Council for the construction of the
transit hub improvements on First Bank Drive. They would prefer that we add this work
to our contract for the Little Canada Road improvements to expedite the project's
approval from their standpoint. The City Attorney has some concerns with the language
as proposed. We are meeting Monday to resolve these issues and hope to have a final
draft ready for Wednesday's meeting. I am comfortable with the concept subject to the
change -order with Paled & Sons being in compliance with statutory requirements. We
also want to ensure that our respective responsibilities /liabilities are clearly delineated
with regard to this work.
If you have any questions or comments in the prior to Wednesday's meeting, please let
me know.
Page 19
