MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 28, 1997 <br />VARIANCE & <br />LOT SPLIT/ <br />COMBINATION <br />BELLAND <br />AUTO REPAIR <br />Peters asked about road assessments. Frattalone replied that he will be <br />paying all costs associated with the road construction. Frattalone <br />indicated that he would like some assistance in the storm sewd( portion of <br />e improvement since this particular storm sewer will bp-A collector <br />sewer. <br />The City Administrator reported that storm sewer costs have not been <br />assessed`iQ the past. <br />There was no one else from the general public present wishing to <br />comment on this\matter. <br />Upon motion by LaVtrlle,seconded by Morelan, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Morelan indicated that he had concerns about the rezoning, and indicated <br />that he was not convinced that a twinhome development was the highest <br />and best use for the property on along -term basis. It was pointed out that <br />four affirmative votes of the CouncilAre required to rezone a property. <br />Given that Mayor Fahey is absent, it was the consensus of the Council to <br />table action on this matter until the next meeting. <br />Mr. LaVaile introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97 -5 -122 — TABLING ACTION' \ON THE <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT, REZONW9 AND <br />PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR PETRINA PARK TERRACE UNTIL <br />TUESDAY, JUNE 10, 1997 AT 8:30 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) LaVaile, Pedersen, Scalze, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Scalze opened the public hearing to consider the application for a <br />Variance for rear yard setback and Property Division/Combination <br />as requested by Belland Auto Repair for their property located at <br />193 Ryan Drive. The Planning Commission recommended approval <br />of the Variance and Property Division/Combination subject to compliance <br />with the recommendations of the City Planner as outlined in his report <br />dated May 5, 1997. <br />Bernadette Wills, Selland Auto Repair, appeared before the Council <br />requesting approval of the Variance for rear yard setback and combination <br />Page 1 <br />
