The City
Administrator replied that from a building code standpoint there were not.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 97 -5 -123 - APPROVING THE VARIANCE FOR
REAR YARD SETBACK AS REQUESTED BY BELLAND AUTO
REPAIR FOR THEIR PROPERTY AT 193 RYAN DRIVE AS WELL
AS PROPERTY DIVISION /COMBINATION RELATIVE TO
PURCHASE OF A STRIP OF PROPERTY FROM THE RAILROAD
AND COMBINING IT WITH THE BELLAND PROPERTY SUBJECT
TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE
CITY PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN HIS REPORT DATED MAY 5,
1997
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan.
Ayes (4) LaValle, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen.
Nays (0). The
meeting was reconvened at 8:55 P.M.
PETRINA Morelan requested that in preparation for the June 10th Council meeting,
PARK the City Administrator put together some tax analysis comparing the
TERRACE property taxes which will be generated by the proposed twinhome
development with various sizes of industrial buildings as well as
warehousing versus finished space. The Administrator has done some
preliminary analysis and it appears that industrial development will
generate more tax dollars than a twinhome development.
Page 2
