Sherren St. Roseville, MN 55113 <br />(H) 651 - 4894216 <br />NARRATIVE: On Wednesday, June 14, 2000, tobacco compliance checks <br />were being done in the city of Little Canada. I, Deputy Dori Martinez, was <br />assigned t� this work detail. Working with me was a juvenile female that will be <br />identified through this report as a Confidential Informant, Cl. The CI's DOB is <br />12/10/82, 17 years old. The CI was assigned to work with me through the <br />Minnesota Assist -North Suburban Tobacco Compliance Project. A Polaroid <br />picture was taken of the CI prior to the compliance checks. <br />At 1302, the CI was dropped off in front of the Sinclair Station, 228 Little <br />Canada Road, Little Canada MN 55113. The CI went in to the Sinclair Station <br />and asked for a pack of Marlboro Lights. The employee, later identified as <br />Thomas Richard Gautschi, DOB 10/14/60, asked to see some identification. The <br />Cl presented her MN picture DL to Mr. Gautschi. Mr. Gautschi looked at the ID <br />and then sold one pack of Marlboro Lights to the CI for $3.08. <br />The CI came out to my vehicle and informed me that she was able to <br />purchase a pack of Marlboro Lights from the male clerk. I went in to the store, <br />identified myself as a Ramsey County Sheriffs Deputy, and informed Mr, <br />Gautschi that he had just sold a tobacco product to a minor. <br />I informed Mr. Gautschi that the sale of tobacco to a minor Is a gross <br />misdemeanor offense, and that the City Attorney for Little Canada will be in <br />Page 5 <br />
