N- INC COMMUNITY PLANNING ' DESIGN MARKET RESEARCH
NORTHWEST ASSOCIATED CONSULTANTS
MEMORANDUM
TO: Little Canada Planning Commission
FROM: Stephen Grittman
DATE: May 9, 2000
RE: Little Canada - Sign Ordinance Amendments
FILE NO: 758.10 - 00.08
The enclosed ordinance consists of "housekeeping" matters related to the sign ordinance,
specifically addressing references to zoning districts which have been added to the Zoning
Map, but left unaddressed in the sign ordinance section. Added districts are the B -4,
Comprehensive Business District; I -P, Industrial Park District; P, Public District; and PUD,
Planned Unit Development District. The B -4 and I -P Districts are merely added to the list
of other business and industrial districts. The Public district is added to the regulations for
R -1 and R -2 Districts. Finally, the PUD District is addressed in a new subdivision relating
the sign allowances to the zoning district in which the use would be allowed.
The purpose of the proposed ordinance is to close a few holes that have been noticed over
time as districts have been added to the City's zoning ordinance and map. No new
substantive standards are proposed in this amendment.
cc: Kathy Glanzer
5775 WAYZATA BOULEVAR LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA 55416
Page 37
PHONE 612-595 -9636 7 E -MAIL NAC@ WINTERNET.COM
