It is my opinion that rebidding the amenities portion will <br />not yield any significant savings to the City and may actually be bid higher as a separate contract because <br />the efficiencies of one contract would be gone. Considering that the overall project is within budget, 1 <br />strongly recommend that the City accept the apparent low bidder for the improvements. <br />Regarding the alternates for integrating more brick paving into the project, all of them appear to be priced <br />competitively, so it is clearly a City decision of balancing aesthetics with capital costs. l personally think <br />that Alternate No. 3 which substitutes a portion of the colored concrete with brick pavers would provide a <br />nice mix of complimentary materials and fit well with the rest of the design ideas. <br />Please call if you have any questions or need to discuss these items further. <br />Sincerely <br />Hoisington Koegler Group Inc. <br />Paul Paige <br />Lee Elfering, H.R.
