MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MARCH 9, 2000 <br />Howe subject to compliance with the recommendations of the City <br />Planner. <br />Motion seconded by Carson. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />Mr. Knudsen recommended approval of the Preliminary and Final Plats of <br />Park Place as presented subject to compliance with the recommendations <br />of the City Planner, City Engineer, and City staff. <br />Motion seconded by Barraclough. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />Mr. Barraclough recommended approval of the Conditional Use Permit for <br />Planned Unit Development for Park Place subject to compliance with the <br />recommendations of the City Planner. <br />Motion seconded by Carson. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />Mr. Barraclough recommended approval of the vacation of the easterly <br />five feet of Jackson Street from Little Canada Road to Maple Lane as <br />requested by Gordie Howe in conjunction with the platting of Park Place. <br />Motion seconded by Knudsen. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />TAX The City Planner reported that the City is proposing to provide tax <br />INCREMENT increment financing assistance to the Park Place development to <br />FINANCING - assist in the cost of extensive soil corrections that will be necessary <br />PARK PLACE in order to develop this property. The Planner pointed out that the <br />Planning Commission is being asked to determine whether or not the <br />proposed development is consistent with the land use plan for this <br />property as outlined in the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Page 20 <br />
