3. Upon effective date of termination, Building Official shall cease all work and deliveries save <br />that necessary in City's discretion to protect the public health, welfare, and safety. <br />VI. ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS <br />1. Insurance. Building Official shall furnish evidence of public liability insurance of at least <br />$1,000,000 for each claimant and $1 000,000 per occurrence. Said policies may not be canceled until <br />after thirty (30) days written notice to City. Building Official shall also furnish evidence of compliance <br />with statutory requirements relative to the provision of workers compensation insurance. <br />2. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. <br />3. In the event any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the other provisions remain in <br />full force and effect. <br />4. Building Official is an independent contractor. No other persons employed by Building <br />Official in the performance of its activities as provided for under this Agreement shall be considered <br />employees of City. No employees of City and no other persons employed by City in the performance of <br />its activities as provided for under this Agreement shall be considered employees of Building Official. <br />5. Building Official is also responsible for providing qualified replacements when unavailable to <br />perform services due to illness, vacation, or other absence. <br />6. Building Official shall, for the duration of this Agreement, meet with the previous Building <br />official, Greg Schmit, for all commercial plan reviews and any other questions concerning development <br />within the City. <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />Michael 1.
