AGREEMENT FOR MAINTENANCE AND CONSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALS AND EVP SYSTEM AGREEMENT NO. PW2000 -02 Attachments: Exhibit "A" City of Roseville = City of Little Canada = Est. Cost $38, 605.20 $38, 605.20 THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into by and between the County of Ramsey, Department of Public Works, hereinafter referred to as the "County," and the City of Roseville hereinafter referred to as "Roseville, and the City of Little Canada hereinafter referred to as "Little Canada, for the maintenance of a traffic control signal system with street lights, signs, interconnect , emergency vehicle pre - emption and the construction of minor geometrics at the intersection of Rice Street and South Owasso Blvd; WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the County has determined that there is justification and it is in the public's best interest to install traffic control signals with street lights, interconnect and signs at Rice Street (County State Aid Highway No. 49) and South Owasso Blvd; and WHEREAS, the construction of minor geometries on Rice Street at South Owasso Blvd hereinafter referred to as "Geometries ", is part of said traffic control signals; and WHEREAS, the construction of minor geometries on Rice Street at South Owasso Blvd require additional right -of -way; and WHEREAS, Roseville and Little Canada requested and the County agrees to provide an Emergency Vehicle Pre - emption System, hereinafter referred to as the "EVP System" as a part of said traffic control signals with street lights in accordance with the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, the County, Roseville and Little Canada will participate in the cost, maintenance and operation of said traffic control signals with street lights, signs, interconnect, EVP system, Geometries and right -of -way as hereinafter set forth. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS: 1. The County shall prepare the necessary plans, specifications and proposals and shall perform the engineering and inspection required to complete the items of work hereinafter set forth. Such work as described immediately above shall constitute "Engineering and Inspection" and shall be so referred to hereinafter. 2. The contract cost of the work or , if the work is not contracted, the cost of all labor, materials and equipment rental required to complete the work, except the cost of providing the power supply to the service pole or pad shall constitute the actual "Construction Cost" and shall be so referred to hereinafter.
