3. The County shall install or cause the installation of the traffic control signals with street lights, <br />signs, interconnect, EVP System and Geometries in accordance with the plans and specifications for <br />Project at Rice Street and South Owasso Blvd. The County, Roseville and Little Canada will participate in <br />the construction costs based on the attached participation cost summary sheet (Exhibit "A ") and as <br />follows: <br />a) Rice Street and South Owasso Blvd: the traffic control signals with street lights will be 50 <br />percent County, 25 percent Roseville and 25 percent Little Canada. Construction costs for <br />overhead mast arm mounted signs, interconnect and geometries will be 100 percent <br />County. The EVP system construction costs will 50 percent Roseville and 50 percent <br />Little Canada. <br />b) Mobilization and traffic control is included in the project as separate items. The costs for <br />each of these items will be 72 percent County, 14 percent Roseville and 14 percent Little <br />Canada. <br />4. The County shall acquire right -of -way in accordance with the plans for the project at Rice Street <br />and South Owasso Blvd at the County's cost and expense. <br />5. Roseville and Little Canada shall jointly be responsible for the installation of an adequate electric <br />power supply to the service pad including any necessary extensions of power lines. Upon completion of <br />the traffic control signals with street lights and EVP system installation, Roseville shall receive the <br />monthly electric bill and invoice Little Canada 50 percent of the cost. In accordance with the Policy for <br />lighting County Roadways, County Board Resolution 78 -1394, Roseville shall maintain and pay energy <br />costs of the integral street light in the southwest corner and Little Canada shall maintain and pay energy <br />costs of the integral street light in the northeast corner <br />6. Upon completion of the traffic control signals, the County shall maintain and keep in repair the <br />traffic control signal including relamping, cleaning and painting at its cost and expense. <br />7. Upon completion of the project, the County shall maintain and keep in repair the interconnect and <br />overhead mast arm mounted signs at its cost and expense. <br />8. Upon completion of the project, the County shall maintain and keep in repair the geometrics on <br />County owned roadways at its cost and expense and Roseville and Little Canada shall maintain and keep <br />in repair the geometries on City owned roadways at its cost and expense. <br />9. Upon execution of this agreement and a request in writing by the County, Roseville and Little <br />Canada shall advance to the County an amount equal to their portion of the project costs based on the <br />actual bid price plus six percent (6 %) of such amount for the each share of the cost for engineering and <br />inspection. <br />10. Upon final payment to the contractor and computation of the Roseville and Little Canada share for <br />the work provided for herein, that amount of the funds advanced by each City in excess of Roseville and <br />Little Canada final share will be returned to each City without interest and Roseville and Little Canada <br />agrees to pay to the County that amount of its final share which is in excess of the amount of the funds <br />advanced by each City. <br />Page 23 <br />
